Safety Committee

AVERTEX Utility Solutions Inc. has a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) in each of its office locations. Each committee consists of four members representing both the workers and management. Each committee meets at least every 3 months and jointly once a year.

The main functions of the JHSC are to:

• Identify situations that may be a source of danger or hazard to workers.
• Make recommendations to the employer and the workers for the improvement of the health and safety of workers.
• Recommend, to the employer and the workers, maintenance and monitoring procedures for the programs regarding the health and safety of workers.
• Carry out monthly workplace inspections to determine the effectiveness of the safety program and if the workers are in compliance.
