Experience:
Andy started his career in the utility construction business as a backhoe operator shortly after high school in 1979. Andy worked his way up to Foreman and Supervisor before being promoted to Vice President in 1998. In 2003 Andy, together with Jack Kottelenberg and other management members, purchased a substantial part of this company to start AVERTEX Utility Solutions Inc. Andy, together with Henry Vis, was instrumental in setting up our Smithville office.

Andy has always had a keen interest in equipment, whether in the deliberate care for the piece of equipment that he operated in his earlier years to the development of cutting edge directional drilling technology in the 1990’s. Andy’s vast knowledge of all of our equipment, and its associated methods and tools, has allowed AVERTEX Utility Solutions Inc. to become a leader in the field of horizontal directional drilling.
