David Q. (Dave) Van Ommen

General Manager Sewer and Water

Experience:
Dave completed high school in 1985 and immediately began his career in the utility construction industry. Dave worked at four different companies before coming to AVERTEX Utility Solutions Inc. with the other management members in 2003. Dave started as a labourer but was promoted to Operator and Foreman and even ran his own business for a number of years. Dave has worked in most of the utility service areas but his skill and knowledge in the sewer and water utilities has led him to his present position.

Dave’s work ethic, his operating skills, and his resourcefulness put him in good stead to succeed. Dave can most often be found on the job site managing a sewer or water main project; sharing his knowledge and skills with his fellow workers. Because of Dave’s expertise in the sewer and water utilities, AVERTEX Utility Solutions Inc. has been able to develop a strong sewer and water division using the latest technology in horizontal directional drilling.
